I get a kick out of watching first dates. Anthropology and psychology at work. I'll gather people across the bar to watch and place bets on how it'll go.
So last night I was sitting near a couple who were obviously on a first date. They were next to me rather than across so I got snippets of conversation rather than body language.
He talked alot, and I kept trying to figure out if he was dumb or just boring. She didn't say much.
Was paying attention to something else when he produced this gem out of nowhere:
"You must be like a good speller, right?"
